The long-established Insel Hotel is located in Heilbronn, enclosed by the river Neckar. Because more than 30 years had passed since the last renovation of the establishment, it seemed appropriate to lead the new culture of the company into a modern and up-to-date design. The approach was to let the guests visually experience the river Neckar, which is located close to the building.
The rooms should seem bright, imperial and timid to the guests and thus reflect the history of the house even in today´s times. Within the reduced colors one shade dominates significantly – the coral red individually woven carpet that forms a pleasant contrast to the many soft colors in fabrics, walls and interior design.
