The long-established insel-hotel is located in the center of Heilbronn, enclosed by the river Neckar. Several years after the last renovation the guest rooms were modernized correspondingly to the culture of the building. Due to the hotel’s unique alignment of tradition and modernity it was self-evident to interpret these presets of an evolved and specific quality of place in a modern and individual way – a concept that was tailor-made for this house.
One recognizes this unique approach in the materials and the handling of what is given. Revitalizing the existing with the new creates a wonderful tension.
